My Story
My Story may also be your story…
I well remember the day when someone suggested that I simply clean my desk. I was almost immobilized. Could the clutter on my desk really be part of the clutter in my head? Was the clutter in my house really making my life unmanageable? Could it be that simple and the solution be so overwhelming?
I am not sure why I decided one rainy day to take the suggestion and start organizing things, but I think I was touched with a bit of grace. I started with my desk, which led to my closet, which led to the basement, and then the garage. You get the idea, it was like dominos and once I started, I kept on going. I could no longer deny that I was a world class clutter bug that had finally made the choice to be debugged from clutter bug habits. I could no longer deny how upset I felt about it. Gee...with all the things to truly have to work on in life, why did I have to deal with the clutter in my house?
That story is now history for me as I am a recovering clutter bug. In the process of my recovery, I learned more about the connection between physical clutter and emotional/mental well-being than I would have ever dreamed. Being a Life Coach, I had been interested in the behaviors that keep us stuck, but I honestly had never really looked at how powerful all that mess on my desk, in my closet, in the basement really was. I had known the theory that we must clear away the old to make room for the new, but to simply apply this theory, changed my life.
And, I can help you change yours…..
